The jury has spoken:Florida Millionaire James Ward Convicted of Second Degree Murder in Wife?s Slaying
The defense stated that James ?Bob? Ward loved his family and the prosecutors stated that Ward killed his wife, Diane Ward.
But, a Saturday, September 24th, 2011, a Florida jury on found a millionaire guilty of killing his wife in their upscale suburban Windermere home.
James ?Bob? Ward, now 63, did not get off like Casey Anthony did. He was convicted of second degree murder in the September 2009 death of his wife, Diane.
Mrs. Ward was found in her bed, in the master suite, with a bullet hole between her eyes. The (smoking) gun was on the night stand next to her and the only people that were in the house was Bob and Diane Ward, along with their four dogs.
That night, he gave authorities inconsistent stories of what happened when she was shot.
Wards states that it was an accident. That there was a struggle over the gun. Apparently, the jury did not weigh in on that omission, as a truth.
Both sides, the offense and defense showed very different personalities of Ward, that the jurors made their decision on.
The defense showed that Ward loved his family, and the prosecutors showed that the Florida millionaire?s demeanor, along with the evidence, proved that James ?Bob? Ward murdered his wife, Diane Ward.
BBAC counts him as lucky, since Florida has the death penalty for murder one. Second degree murder, is life in prison. It seems like it was a better deal then he gave his wife, and the mother of his children.
