Recently-crowned Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix champion Daniel Cormier knows something about the big-boy division of MMA.
In an interview with Tatame?s Eduardo Ferreira, Cormier offered up his take on tonight?s UFC 146: Dos Santos vs. Mir main and co-main event fights.
Of course, with ?DC? a training partner of Cain Velasquez, he might have been a little biased in his take on the Velasquez-Antonio Silva fight.
?Cain?s got every advantage in the fight, he?s got more power too, he?s faster, he?s got better cardio, better wrestling, and, I honestly think he?s better on the ground, too. I expect Saturday night to be pretty successful for him.?
The main event will feature Junior dos Santos defending his UFC heavyweight title against Frank Mir.
?I think Junior dos Santos will win that fight. Frank Mir has shown that he doesn?t do well when he?s in bad situations, and I?m pretty sure Junior will put him in bad situations.?
Cormier will undergo hand surgery in soon after breaking it again in his victory over Josh Barnett. He is expected to have one more fight in Strikeforce, than will likely join the UFC?s heavyweight roster.
