Forum for completely Out of Character (OOC) discussion, based around whatever is happening In Character (IC). Discuss plans, storylines, and events; Recruit for your roleplaying game, or find a GM for your playergroup.So here I'm just going to list a few things that could happen during the course of the RP, some things to keep in mind, etc. These are not things that have to happen, or things I want to control. These are things that you can choose to do with your characters, or not. I do want the direction of this RP to go the way ALL the players want it to. And feel free to add your own ideas if you have any. I'm going to keep a few tricks up my sleeve, after all every good RP needs a few surprises. :)
- Dr. Quentin's daughter gets kidnapped either by the lycans or vampires, because they hear he's attempting to find a cure. Could mistake him for being someone like Dr. Lauren, instead of the man he actually is.
- A human (no specific one) could be turned into a vampire or lycan through the course of the story.
- A human could also know a vampire or lycan, having thought the person dead. Whether it be an old friend, and long lost relative, etc.
- The vampires and lycans have a big fight before making peace. OR perhaps they make a truce, and it gets broken by a hot-headed vampire or lycan.
- Keep in mind that vampires and lycans look and can act human before exposing their powers. This could have some interesting outcomes.
- At the start of this RP is when the war is hitting it's peak. If you are out in the streets alone, you have a much higher chance of being captured or killed. Living a normal life isn't really an option anymore.
- Deaths are going to happen. Humans have the weapons able to kill and incapacitate the other species. Vampires and lycans know each other's weaknesses, so they know the best way to destroy each other as well. (This is also another reason for having two characters, because you may have to part with one.)
- I am totally okay with all the players having NPC's. If you're in the heat of battle, it's easy to know that you and the few other characters wouldn't be the only ones fighting. Feel free to describe what happens to others we players aren't controlling.
- Romance is expected and encouraged. However, love is complicated, especially in the midst of a war. It would not be easy, especially should you fall in love with a different species. Make your love believable. After one night you wouldn't just be completely in love and ready to lay your life down for them at a moment's notice. And not all relationships work out in the end.
So those are some things that have been going through my mind. As I said, feel free to add your own. And I of course have some things I am keeping secret! :) If you have some idea, but you don't want it to be known by everyone, feel free to PM me, and I can add it to my secret list!!
